Professor of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine Department of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC), Leiden, the Netherlands Professor Cobbaert is a European Specialist in Laboratory Medicine. She has been heading the Department of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine at the Leiden University Medical Centre, Leiden, NL, since 2009. Her research focuses on Precision Diagnostics with quantitative, bottom-up proteomics to enable a refined molecular definition of Health and Disease. She currently chairs the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) Scientific Division Executive Committee, involved with metrological traceability of test results and standardization of medical tests (http://www.ifcc.org/ifcc-scientific-division/). She is a member of ISO TC 212 working group 2 on Reference Systems and a personal member of the EURAMET Research Council. In Europe, she represents the European Federation in Laboratory Medicine (EFLM) in the IVD subgroup of the Medical Device Coordination Group during meetings with the European Commission on the IVDR 2017/746 rollout. In this capacity, she chairs the EFLM Task Force on European Regulatory Affairs (https://www.eflm.eu/site/page/a/1650). Her work resulted in 230 original publications, multiple lectures/webinars and several appointments at (inter)national positions because of her expertise in metrological traceability of test results.
