The presentation will focus on Equalis’ image-based EQA schemes, where the accuracy of examinations depends strongly on individual knowledge and expertise, making EQA essential for evaluating and enhancing indiviudual competence as well as safeguarding patient safety. Based on Equalis’ extensive experience in this field, the presentation will describe the design, processes, and outcomes, illustrated with examples from several EQA schemes. Current challenges and future perspectives in assessing individual competence within image-based EQA will also be addressed.
