Hanna Valo

Hanna Valo works in the Finnish Medicines Agency Fimea medical devices unit as a senior inspector, especially with in vitro diagnostic medical devices and operators in the sector in Finland. In addition to the guidance and supervision of domestic operators, the work includes close authority cooperation and the preparation of the implementation of the IVD regulation at the EU level. Regarding medical devices, Fimea is the competent authority in Finland whose main tasks are to supervise and enhance the safety and compliance of medical devices and their use, in addition to acting e.g. as the authority responsible for the notified bodies located in Finland.
