Kimmo Kartasalo is currently working as a post-doctoral scientist at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. His research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence and image analysis to the analysis of pathological specimens, in particular for improved prostate cancer diagnostics. He obtained his Master’s degree in signal processing from Tampere University of Technology in 2015 and his doctoral degree in computational pathology from Tampere University in 2021.
