Utilizing AI in EQA and Laboratory Workflows
This presentation covers practical examples of using AI agents in a laboratory environment, focusing on quality management and operational efficiency. One example is an automated agent that converts EQA reports into visual summaries and tracks systematic error and inter-instrument bias over time. For internal quality control, a program extracts raw control data to identify monthly trends, and a separate agent monitors the files for specific deviations.
AI has also been used to support the update of the laboratory manual and to develop a logistics prototype for inventory management, including demand prediction and route optimization between locations.
These examples show that AI can work as a practical tool for laboratory professionals, not just as a concept.
