Martina Zaninotto
Martina Zaninotto obtained Biol. Sci doctor degree from the University of Padua in 1975. From 1979 to 1984 he was appointed as Biologist manager at the Clinical Laboratory of the University-Hospital in Verona and from 1985 to 2017 at the Department of Laboratory Medicine of the University-Hospital of Padova. During this period she has achieved an Executive Master at the Luiss Business School in “Strategic acquisition of assets and technologies for the Laboratory Medicine”
Professional experience
The principal job is devoted to clinical biochemistry and automation covering the following area: electrophoresis and measurement of specific proteins, drug abuse and immunosuppressant drugs, cardiac markers, general biochemical profiles, thyroid and fertility hormones using immunochemistry as well as mass spectrometry techniques.
Main research interests
The most relevant interests and the specific research experiences, have been oriented to the setting of biomarkers of cardiac diseases as well as of bone metabolism. In these setting Dr. Zaninotto participate to several studies allowing the development and validation of new methods as well as to collaborative experiences between clinical and laboratory medicine socities in order to publish and to disseminate the recommendations and specific guidelines in the described setting.
She has published 260 original papers in accredited journals, 7 chapters in different textbooks, and has contributed to writing more than 80 degree thesis. Dr. Zaninotto is Corresponding member in Task Force -Ethics of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC) and Chair of the Working Group Harmonization (WG-H) of the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry.
