Exhibitions
The first exhibition was organised in connection with Laaduntarkkailupäivät in 1988, and since then it has been an integral part of the event. The number of exhibitors has since stabilised at around 60.
Prize draws have been one of the main attractions at the exhibition over the years, serving as an effective way to draw visitors to the exhibition stands. In the early 2000s, the winners of the prize draws were even published in Labquality’s customer magazine Moodi.
Prizes have ranged widely, including, for example:
- a digital TV receiver
- a barbecue set
- a cheese slicer
- a stereo system
And sometimes the main attraction of an exhibition stand was not a prize draw at all. In 2005, the greatest attention at Labquality’s stand was drawn to a television showing Finnish alpine skier Kalle Palander’s World Championship ski run.
In 2023, the exhibition area underwent a major renewal when Hall 101, which includes the main stage, was opened more extensively as exhibition space. This made it possible to build larger and more impressive stands.
